On March 20, 2019, Daniel BERLADYN (Daniel) was released by a Judge on a probation order (conditional discharge) with 4 conditions. Condition 4 requires Daniel to have no contact with his Mother, Margaret BERLADYN (Margaret) without her consent and to remove himself from her presence if consent is withdrawn.

On Sep 06, 2020 at 12:46 hours, Lisa PALMER (Lisa) called PMPD reporting a domestic incident in progress at her mother's home 560 Foress Drive, Port Moody. Lisa reported her brother, Daniel, was arguing and possibly fighting with her and her mother, Margaret. It was just determined that Daniel, who resides in the basement, entered the upstairs kitchen and a verbal argument ensued. Margaret told Daniel to leave multiple times, however, he did not. Daniel retreated to his basement once he heard incoming police sirens.

Police attended the scene. Upon arrival, police engaged with Daniel through a window in his basement computer room for approximately 20 minutes, however, Daniel refused to leave the premise. In speaking with Lisa and Margaret, it was confirmed, Daniel was told to leave (by Lisa). Margaret provided police a key to the basement. Police entered and arrested Daniel for failing to comply with a court order. Daniel then stated he was suicidal. Cst HUNTER transported Daniel to RCH for assessment. Daniel was released and transported to PMPD cells to be held for a Bail Hearing.
