I had a single beer last night. I feel like I am nursing a hangover this morning.

1). As you are seeking audio recordings and transcripts of evidence referred to in court file number 98702-7B, we can advise you that these records are under the custody and control of the courts. If you wish to obtain copies of court records, including audio recordings and transcripts, please contact the Port Coquitlam Court Registry at: (604) 927-2100.

Yes, the Master File is one place I have not looked. At this point I don't really trust in such. Sticky fingers and all.

2). With respect to the digital copy of the file (Court file 98702-8A) Lori Ashton attempted to send to you via email, we can confirm it (your particulars) was undeliverable to either of your email addresses on February 25, 2021 because it exceeded the size limit for messages. Lori Ashton then notified you via email at 11:40 am on February 25, 2021, that your particulars for that file would be available for pick up at the Port Coquitlam courthouse on February 26, 2021.

Please be advised that “particulars” consist of police investigative records provided to Crown Counsel in a Report to Crown Counsel, for the sole purpose of prosecution. When an individual is charged, Crown Counsel is obligated to disclose a copy of the particulars under the criminal law disclosure process, to the accused or their lawyer in order that they can conduct their defence. Once the prosecution has concluded, those records are not provided again under this Act.

Yes, I am already fully aware that Lori Ashton had sent a file in excess of 50Mb. Hence my follow up reply on March 9th, 2021.

I requested this information for two reasons. One of those reasons was to provide the opportunity for Lori Ashton to gain my confidence that she was an open trustworthy person, rather than a lying cheating criminal. The second reason was to determine why the file she had sent was so questionably large. It seems that my lengthier pdf files full of images do not even approach a large file size in excess of 50MB.

In example, this file is a 117 pages, full of images, and only weighs in at 47.4Mb

Perhaps she originally included the audio before it was retracted? Regardless, the BC Prosecution Services wishes to fail my objectives and that is outside of my control.

3). Please be advised that any recorded video or audio obtained by the Port Moody Police in relation to your court files must be obtained from the Port Moody Police department. The Port Moody Police Department is an independent public body which controls access to their own records. As these files have now concluded and remain as part of the investigative file, you may make a FOI request to the Port Moody Police Department for
your records at:

2021-01-05-1.pdf

Yeah, well that's nice. The damages from such are still ongoing and this request has already been placed.

4). The lawyer who was present during your bail hearing on February 22, 2021 was the Duty Counsel, Douglas Soga.

It seems to my recollection that there was a Duty Counsel present, and one other Lawyer. The Duty Counsel declared that he wished to sit out and remain as a witness. Then there was one other lawyer who clearly made his presence known. This does not appear answer my question to my satisfaction, it only appears to merely skirt around the question but perhaps that is just me and my nature.

In looking up one Douglas Soga, I am left with a smile and a sense of over-whelming confidence.
