Post Title: Hit, but at least he didn't Run.

I am not feeling well. I haven't slept enough since last night. I am not well rested. I am forever behind on things that there's going to come a day that there will be no realistic excuse to be behind on. In the end, all these problems I have, they are not really that complicated.. it's just.. life and the cards dealt.

I decided I need to eat. It's not like I can really shop and use a kitchen that I renovated or anything. Not that I like to, but it might be a better habit to have than eating out. Definitely more economical to eat at home, but whatever... everyone else knows what's best but me.

I went out to a mom and pop shop again. This time I left my recorder on hoping that I would catch the same outburst that I did the other day. Someone just venting at how things are worse than communism and that people are really stupid. Which I could actually use in court looking at the Narratives.

While engaging in a good conversation with someone who works at UBC, some young Asian Student came in asking if that truck he just hit is mine. I lost it for a second fearing the worst. I do not need more problems. Then I apologised which I might not even have needed to.

We go outside and look... yup, how did you do that I asked? I was surprised at the damage. Fair enough, it is dark out, my truck is dark (which always bothered me in this regard), and he simply clipped the corner of my truck while backing up. We've all done similar.

He was so honest about it, that for that reason alone I wanted to help him. I just didn't want to be so nice that I burn myself which I probably did. I asked him what he wanted to do about it. He wanted to settle for the damages, I didn't want wreck his insurance for something so minor.. so Ok.

We negotiated a price. I probably shorted myself. I can have it repaired for that much if everything goes as good as it could, but chances are.. I shorted myself a little. I don't really care about that. He was a really nice kid. It's just the stressors. I just do not want stressors.

That truck is suppose to be re-painted as it is by ICBC and I haven't had the resources and the health to get that done. That's been over a year now. Which is another thing I was thinking of doing back in August/September as things started finally feeling like they were coming together and I was on an upswing.. but nope.

Not gonna have none of that. By the time my live ever sorts out that ICBC work will be null and void, or something rather. Then this damage tonight. It's actually really lucky that he hit the part he did, but it sucks for him in his shoes at the same time. He's got to fix his car on top of this.

Anyways, it's not a big deal, but it's just another straw on the back of broken camel. Whatever. I am happy to have been decent to someone honest. He could have took off. He didn't. I almost feel bad taking money off him, but maybe he has wealthy parents and he's just smart. Who knows?

Wish him well.

When you see damage to my truck, well.. this is the reason.
