Post Title: Black Oynx

Black Onyx.  I was never concious of this rock before the Summer of 2015.  I can't find the definition which I originally found when searching online.  The original definition to me was the rock that absorbs and holds poison.  This somewhat blew my mind a little when I learned of this.  I felt like I myself was filled with Poison.

Onyx is known to separate. It can help release negative emotions such as sorrow and grief. It is used to end unhappy or bothersome relationships.

Onyx jewelry is worn to defend against negativity that is directed at you. Black stones have protective energies in the sense that black is the absence of light, and therefore, can be used to create invisibility.

The whole reason I was researching Black Onyx was due to the fact it was the paint name of the truck I had just bought.  Like all new things to me, I like to research.  I was happily researching this truck I had bought in May, a truck I had originally wanted to buy in December/January just previously.  The truck was bought for my changed needs and my long term survivability.

It was the truck I should have bought.  I didn't buy it as I wasn't yet convinced on buying something new, even though I was more comfortable with new.  So was my employer, but I'll leave this for another post.  I was buying this truck for work and for long term survival as my future needs are riddled with change.

I ruled the truck out for the price and the engine size.  It was perfect in every other aspect, I just was trying too hard to skimp and be frugal.  In the end, the larger engine is no different on fuel than the smaller engines I was restraining myself too.  In fact, it's a better motor.

When I pulled the codes on this truck, I learned that it was assembled in my darkest hour.  I have been through many bleak emotions, plenty of ups and downs, but nothing compares to the time when this truck was built.  It was truly the blackest of black moments in my life.  This seemed surreal to me, especially since I considered buying it and it remained on the lot for a year.  This truck was as a Custom Order by the dealership.  There's nothing really typical about it.

When I pulled the paint code, it read as Onyx Black.  I liked the name and I wanted to know the meaning behind it.  Eventually I looked up the name.  I can't seem to find the page I originally found, but it read to be the rock that holds the poison.  That played in my mind, in many ways I was just the same, maybe not quite a rock, but definitely the one holding all the poison for my family.  I held it for everyone and it continually spilled out everywhere in my life tainting most endeavors.

OynxBlack.

I hope to update and improve this writing as with the rest.  For now, you know the meaning behind OnyxBlack, I adopted the words as nickname.  I like it.  I've had a hard time thinking of usernames and now I have one that I deeply appreciate.
