I would like to respectfully repeat my request for full time access to my laptop & power supply from my personal effects. Again, given such, I would prefer segregation.
I repeat this request, not to pain North Fraser Pre-Trial, nor its Staff, but to reiterate how important the use of such is to my overall well-being & betterment during this unwillful & likely unjust incarceration.
You do not need to understand, but I am not like the other inmates here. For me, the use of such could easily change the outcomes of certain dynamics which will regulate whether I take my own life or not down the road. I mean no offense, but everyone of you collecting a cheque from the 'System' - your ignorance is bliss.

You are not permitted your laptop from your personal effects. If you need a laptop for legal purposes submit a programs request. Just know that if you are to recieve a laptop it not be your own personal one. - Staff Member

I could have chose my words better here, do I ever find writing with a pen and paper slow, frustrating and painful for my thumb. I would probably wouldn't have said what I did otherwise.
If I received a Government laptop, I could not retrieve / save what I wrote. I would not leave the prison with what I wrote. This defeats the entire purpose. Not only that, but they are then subject to reading my thoughts. If I had a lawyer, he could get me disk which may have permitted me to take what I wrote out of the facility. Likely I would have to trust him, pointless. Not, to mention I'd be at the lawyers whim to recover it.
Not only that, but the laptop would likely be junk and half broken like the four computers that do not work in the section I was kept. Anyways, wanting a laptop is one of the reasons I began looking for a lawyer to hire. Not necessarily something I had wanted, I would almost rather have no lawyer so there's no corruption of my own representation.
( I like my lawyer, but he's human, like everyone else. )
