Post Title: Break and Enter, Drugs & Homeless People

I was exhausted, but seeing I now had a roof over my head, a job to do and I had felt a momentary sense of stability, I thought I would get a good nights sleep.  I took half a pill of what I considered to be horse pills from the hospital prescription.  I made sure I was nice and warm, with the heater I bought for the job running full blast. I passed out on the hard floor using a jacket for pillow.

At 2:00 am or later, I partially woke in a dazed state.  It was so cold, I couldn't understand why.  With the drugs, in the state I was in, I just couldn't be bothered.  I thought I will deal with this later.  Just sleep.

In what felt like 30 minutes later I hear a woman's voice.  She's repetitively saying hello? Hello? Now I wake to what sub consciously is a threat.  I am out of it, completely drugged but I am not in the house alone. I get up and I stumble into the kitchen.

The back door is wide open, the windows are all open, the lights are on and there's this woman standing there.  Hello she says.  I am very concerned because I am deeply threatened.  I am too drugged to defend myself.  She alone is a threat to me, if she's not alone I am in real trouble.

I can't deal with it.  I let her find a spot to sleep, hoping to get sleep myself.  But in the end, I kept awake nearly all night.  My plans to reset my sleep and rest - shattered.  My plans for the morning completely dissolved.  No matter what, Murphy's Law.  I get a chance to get rest, it taken away.

When the Sun is up, I try luring her out of the house with the promise to buy her a coffee.  It takes over an hour for her to gather herself after agreeing to go.  She's impossible.  She smells.

I drive her to the A&W where she refuses to get out of the truck.  That's it, no more Mr. Nice Guy.  I get out, walk around to passenger side and firmly command her to exit the vehicle.  She tries leaving trinkets inside.  At this point I will still buy her a coffee.

She refuses to walk inside the A&W.  As soon as she refused, I just walked around to the driverside of my truck and drove away.  She would knock on the door several times, in the wee hours of the morning over the next two weeks.  Ensuring, I didn't get sleep.
