Bell Mobility
There is so much more I would rather be writing about than this. There is so much more I'd rather be doing that to be continually struggling to keep an internet connection so that I may find work to support myself and so that I may find roof to live under. Never mind all the other things I would like to and feel the need to write about.
It's taken me a week just to get a keyboard and an internet connection to write this. It's almost unbelievable the little challenges a person goes through when their stability is kicked out from underneath them. It's amazing the challenges a person goes through when just trying to expose the injustices of such.
Anyways, lets move back to last Friday. Determined to stay online with you, I stopped yet again into one of your stores. This is a store I have already tried to pay my account in cash at. The reply was to use to a third party (and their service charges) just to hand you Legal Tender as payment.
I asked the young person behind the counter to pull up my account and to phone you. While she was to phone you, I explained to her to tell you that I am here to pay in cash. Unfortunately she started to refuse to make the call demanding to know more getting herself all high on a horse.
For me it was simple. Call the Corporation, someone above you, explain to them that I am here right now with cash in hand, ready to pay a bill. This would transfer the responsibility where it belongs, with you Bell Mobility. Either way, that was a Bell store and to me it's all the same in the end.
In her failure to serve a customer attempting to pay an account yet again with Legal Tender, I decided enough was enough. You Bell have cost me tremendously. I removed my SIM card and attempted to give it to the employee working in your name. She refused. I left your store disposing of it into the nearest garbage can.
I am done. I am going to estimate the amount legally "owed" to you is between $240 to 400. When all is said and done, the truth is that even in stiffing you and never paying this bill, the losses incurred to me are still financially greater. In stiffing you, which I plan to do, you still are indebted to me from your poor business practices.
Please bear with me as I had all these words last week. It's taken me this long to get into a position to even attempt to write them out. I had a buy a used laptop, struggle with finding stable internet, etc. etc. The tiny challenges of learning your used laptop battery does not hold a lengthy charge, or that Pay as You Go Internet only comes in 1Gb increments. These things can be quite disabling.
Anyways, last year you sold me a portable 4G LTE Wifi device. This device was purchased to help cut costs, increase efficiency, increase personal stability, etc. I've written about this elsewhere. The device did not work properly right off of your shelves. It would cut out every five minutes.
Rather than have your store (that happily took my money signing me into a contract), simply replace it with another identical item of the shelf, they directed me to waste hours and hours of my time with your Customer Service calls, as well as to waste more of my time and actual fuel running around to Bell repair centers.
I had no time and no energy for such matters. As it was in that time, I was trying to accelerate at a job with a base rate of (gross) $50/hr, I was trying to secure my own future and stability by organizing and assembling a lifeboat while my own family was trying to throw me overboard from a ship (a shipped I saved from sinking) and really, it's all not worth it to write out in this instance as it's just more time.
I cannot even begin to add up the costs of this device you sold me. It not working and the fact that you wanted to tax me with the costs of my time in servicing it. You added stress, you caused communication failures with my office, you overburdened someone already incredibly overburdened. You peddled junk and then you did not stand behind it.
Then there's this bill and all the wastes of time just trying to pay you and to communicate with you over it. I am done. If I take my time wasted and I multiply that time by a gross of $50/hr, we are well past $400.
If we add the costs of your device that did not work... that's another $250? If we add the excessive costs of my phone bills that increased because that device didn't work? $500+?
If we add the compounding costs of unnecessary stress? Even now, the added stress... I might even be your customer still, paying your bill with credit that still worked. I do blame myself for not buying an industrial grade 4g Router, I was going to... then for convenience I trusted you. All your customers do.
If you sell something, it should simply work. No bling, no fancy packaging. That stuff isn't important. A product working as a person could expect is important. Standing behind your product and not wasting your customers time and energy is important. Being able to pay an account bill in person with LEGAL TENDER is important.
My plan is to stiff you for the amount on the bill and to break the contract. I let the store know that as I walked out. I can't even count how many times you have called since Friday. I really do not want to verbally talk to you. I have so many more things to deal with, you have wasted more than enough of my time.
If you want to converse do so here for the world to see. Thank you.
