Post Title: Victim Services

"There are no Services for someone like you"
- Victim Services, PMPD

March 21st, PMPD, Victim Services,
I speak with Victim Services for quite some time.  Roselle MacQuillan.  She is good at her job, she listens to what I need instead of telling me what I need.  I wasn’t sure about dropping in there, but my reason was to ask if it was normal for the Police to lie in order to build their case.  Jenn OHASHI lied to the Crown and I let her know that. I spoke with Victim Services about why I cannot work, my Finances being completely destroyed and the in-feasibility of living in a “boarding house” with drug addicts.  I requested any ideas of where to get help.  She understood it seemed, it didn’t make sense to her to either to take someone who was making $6000/mo clear (car allowance/phone needs explaining) last year this time and to throw them on Social Assistance.  I explain to Victim Services that I had requested and tried to find a mediator to talk with my mother a few weeks ago.  It made sense to her that I needed a mediator now with my mother and by the time it happens, if it happens, it would be too late as I will likely be getting my truck repossessed, losing all my tools and everything.  She was good, she listened.  She told me there was no place for someone like me to go for Services.  No Help.  She told me I could see her anytime she wanted, I could email, phone, write, drop in.  The next time I stopped the Department to chat to Victim Services, I was told there was no one there I could speak to.  It felt like a message stating that Victim Services are not available to me as opposed to Victim Services themselves simply not being available that day.
