On September 12, 2017 at 1824 hours, complainant [blank] called to report that [blank], may have broken into the residence of [blank] at [blank], Port Moody. [blank], was out of town and had advised [blank] that BERLADYN's van, a 2014 black GMC Savanna van (BCLP# HY9995), was spotted parked in the driveway.
BERLADYN, who was not seen by [blank] to have entered the residence, but suspected to be inside because of the presence of his van, was not welcome there. BERLADYN has had a longstanding conflict with [blank] and the rest of the family, with a peace bond between him and [blank] that had recently expired. BERLADYN did not have any keys to the residence, so if he were to have been inside, he would ahve needed to break in to enter.
BERLADYN has mental health issues and is highly confrontational with police. He has threatened to commit suicide in front of the Port Moody Police Department before. According to CPIC, he is also prohibited from possessing firearms, explosives and weapons. As well, BERLADYN was arrest-able for Mischief from another Port Moody Police file.
Due to the above noted circumstances involving BERLADYN, police attended with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services and 2 additional Coquitlam RCMP members. Numerous callouts were made with no response and the residence was subsequently cleared. BERLADYN was not located.
Concluded.
