PMHL INVOLVEMENT:

On January 26, 2016, Cst OHASHI was provided with an envelope containing Residential Tenancy Branch documents and hard copy printouts of Daniel BERLADYN's Facebook page left at the front counter of the Port Moody Police Department on January 25, 2016 by [blank].

The Residential Tenancy Branch documents summarized the applicant and respondent information which culminated in the arbitrator declining to hear the matter ([blank] had applied to evide [blank], Daniel BERLADYN, for unpaid rent) based upon the fact the Residential Tenancy Branch did not have jurisdiction over the matter. In reviewing the Facebook posts written by Daniel BERLADYN, Cst OHASHI noted that Daniel BERLADYN made specific reference to wanting to kill [blank] (which has since been removed by Facebook) in a post earlier this week. No method was expressed and Daniel BERLADYN's messages seemed nonsensical.

Based upon the concerning Facebook post, coupled with the fact the [blank] family has concerns about Daniel BERLADYN's recent communications and behaviour, Cst OHASHI formed the grounds to apprehend Daniel BERLADYN under Section 28 of the Mental Health Act.
